Do not make these changes if you have OregonFAST.net
High Speed Wireless Broadband
Outlook Express Changes
Open Outlook Express
Delete all email in your "Outbox"
Click "Tools"
Click "Accounts
From the Internet Accounts window, click on the tab "Mail"
Click on your account (IE: mail.oregonfast.net) and click "Properties" (on the left)
Click on the "Advanced" tab and under the Outgoing Mail
Make sure the Outgoing Mail is "465"
Make sure the box "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" IS NOT CHECKED
Click "Apply" (the box will not close)
Click "Close" (the box will close)
Restart your computer
If you have made these changes, then the email does NOT work please,
Go back and choose "Default" on the Advanced tab, then "Apply" and "OK"
Then restart your computer
Outlook Changes
Open Outlook
Delete ALL emails in your Outbox
Click "Tools"
Click "Email Accounts"
Select "View or Change Existing Email" and click "Next"
Double Click the email account name
Click on "More Settings"
Click on the "Advanced" tab
Make sure the box IS NOT checked "My server requires authentication"
Change the Outgoing Mail to "465"
Click "Apply" (the box will not close)
Click "Close" (the box will close)
Then restart your computer
If you have made these changes, then the email does NOT work please,
Go back and choose "Default" on the Advanced tab, then "Apply" and "OK"
Then restart your computer
Mac Mail Changes
Incoming mail server will be mail.oregonfast.net, then enter your user name and password in all lower case letters
Under the outgoing mail field, click "Server Settings”
Make sure the box that says “use secure socket layer” DOES NOT HAVE A CHECKMARK
Change the server port number above it to "465"
In authentication, choose “password”
Enter your user name and password (put only your username, not the full email address)
When you are finished, click OK.
